Biographical Info
Michael Webb currently serves as the Evening Library Assistant at JCSU. He is a second-generation Johnson C. Smith University alumni, who graduated with honors in 2013. Before returning to JCSU, Michael has been a library branch supervisor in Gaston County, South Carolina, and a museum director at the York W. Bailey museum of Penn Center Inc. in St. Helena Island, South Carolina. He is a local historian of Black Charlotte and of Negro League baseball history. He is currently working with Brandon Lunsford on the West End Project where they are collecting and gathering information on the many families and people who once lived in these historic Black neighborhoods in the city of Charlotte.
