As you pass by the Center of Information desk in the library, you’ll notice a few new faces. Devin McAllister and Tyler Copeland have joined our team in the role of the Daytime Library Assistant and the Evening Library Assistant respectively, reporting directly to Mrs. Monika Rhue, the Director of Library Services.
Devin is the Daytime Library Assistant. He earned his BA in Liberal Studies from North Carolina A&T State University in 2014 and received his MA in African-American Studies from Clark Atlanta University in 2018. Devin is a native of Charlotte, NC and is also a photographer based in Charlotte. As the Daytime Library Assistant, he provides support in circulation and reference, performs collection maintenance tasks, and helps library patrons with computer and technology equipment troubleshooting and setup. Devin also assists with the library’s social media marketing and outreach efforts.
Tyler Copeland is the Evening Library Assistant. He is impassioned to help others however possible, and as an avid writer he naturally gravitates to books of various kinds. Tyler is an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) where he received a degree in Philosophy and Political Science. Tyler was a member of several prominent organizations while at UNCC, including the Model United Nations, the Community of Philosophical Thinkers (Philosophy Club), NC Student Union, and Forward NC. With NC Student Union, he helped organize many events and actions across the state. As the Evening Library Assistant, Tyler provides support in circulation and reference, performs collection maintenance tasks and help library patrons with computers and other equipment troubleshooting.
